A giant squid who got lost in a Japanese port, has been redirected to the ocean one week after it was discovered. Its presence astonished the passerby and experts.
The large size cephalopod, with a length of 13 feet (4 meters), has been discovered by fishermen in Toyama port, on the coast of Northwestern Japan.
A representative of the local Aquarium, the Uozu, who took underwater photos of the animal, said he was impressed by its beauty and size. “Its bright red body was incredibly beautiful”, he said.
The squid was then guided towards the ocean by a diver, Akinobu Kimura, who told the Asahi television station that was difficult considering that, at one point, the large cephalopod “wrapped around my body and grabbed my arms. ”
