A dramatic photo of a massive great white shark soaring nearly 15ft in the air has recently baffled the marine experts all over the world. The breathtaking snap was taken by shark expert Chris Fallows and it is by far the highest water breach ever recorded.

The mesmerising scene unfolded offshore of Seal Island in South Africa, where Chris and his team travelled as part of Discovery Channel’s latest series – “Air Jaws”. The expedition brought together marine experts and photographers with the purpose of getting the best possible images of a shark breach. And they did not disappoint!

“They say a picture is worth a thousand words,” Chris Fallows said. “Well, that picture is worth a thousand breaches. I can’t believe how high it came out, it was just perfect… a photo you dream of. This has to be the ultimate air jaws breach.”

This special edition also comes with a very loud conservation message. “We have to do something to protect these great white sharks because they are on the brink of annihilation,” Jeff Kurr, the director of the show told TV Insider.
