Images from an underwater cam, shows the minute a dolphin that got to be trapped in an fishing line was rescued by a diver in Hawaii.
The dolphin’s pectoral was trapped, wrapped around fishing line with a hook stuck into its body. One of the divers, Laros, was able to free the mammal by cutting the line with a pair of scissors he was equipped with.
Dolphins might not have opposable thumbs, but they’re sufficiently brilliant to discover somebody who does. Martina Wing, who recorded the footage, said that the dolphin appeared to “communicate” with the diver to request help.
