Designed and built in 8 years by Bernardo Rodrigues, On the flight of Birds is one of the most eccentric houses in the world.
Located in the S. Michael Island in Portugal, the house was design to block strong winds from Atlantic ocean with a wall, and offer diverse patios and covered courtyards to protect against rain.
Designed to be vastly illuminated, most of the house walls are from glass.
On the ground floor, surrounded by the covered patios and courtyards, we find the living area.
Bedrooms are on the upper-floor, providing nice view of the island.
But the best sight of the island can be view from the roof of the building.
The house is also equipped with a swimming pool in the yard.
