Muslim Restaurant Posts Sign Outside Their Door On Christmas Day That Went Viral

The Christmas “Spirit” is felt by men and women everywhere throughout the world no no matter their faith. Wherever you go in December, it isn’t strange to see the festive decorations and colors of red and green… and it isn’t unusual to experience the holiday values of generosity and kindness.

In London, a Muslim owned Turkish restaurant has demonstrated the real Christmas spirit in a beautiful way of generosity. Hasan Masud possesses a mainstream eatery called Shish that specializes in Turkish cooking. He set up a manually written sign about Christmas that is pretty unusual for most of the business owners. The sign, truth be told, became a web sensation in light of the fact that, in a period of divisiveness, it is calling for solidarity, kindness, and generosity.

The sign read: “No one eats alone on Christmas Day. We are here to sit with you.”

It went ahead to welcome the homeless and the elderly to a generous 3-course dinner that was totally free of charge! What’s more, as should be obvious from the photo beneath, the visitors are in for a lavish supper!

Hasan Masud stated, “We’re simply helping people, lots of people remain home alone for Christmas… They don’t have to. They can come here and have some good times.”

Inviting in the lonely and forgotten and sitting around a table with them on Christmas Day… that sounds like the ideal Christmas “Spirit” to me! What do you think?
