
Gold, marble and expensive TVs, indoor pools and sauna. All these items are present in the lavish homes of the Gaddafi family, reflecting their personal tastes.
Six square kilometers, as a small town in the middle of the capital – this is the area of Bab al-Aziziya compound where Gaddafi and his relatives lived. This huge complex with green areas, houses and official buildings is surrounded by a thick and high wall, which separates high ranked officials of the Gaddafi regime from their citizens.



In one of the houses, the vast entrance hall was furnished with a sofa wich has a bizarre form, inspired from a golden mermaid’s body and Aisha’s face, Muammar Gaddafi’s daughter.


Another attraction is the European style luxury villa owned by one of Gaddafi’s sons.

In Fort Assdad region, Gaddafi had built a huge pigeon farm.
