Eminem is producing a movie about battle rap: see the intense trailer

Fifteen years after Eminem’s rap-battling roots were portrayed in 8 Mile, he’s marked on for yet another hip-hop flick.

This time, the Detroit MC is sitting in the producer’s seat for Bodied, upcoming ironical movie about the art of battle rap. The film is coordinated by Joseph Kahn, who’s whelmed music recordings for the greater part of your favorite artists, including Taylor Swift, Dr. Dre, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and even Eminem himself. Kahn built up the content with previous rap battle champion Alex “Child Twist” Larsen.

In view of the trailer, Bodied concentrates on race relations in hip-hop through the perspective of a white 20-something who tries to enter the underground battle rap scene. Properly, the film highlights a stacked list of genuine battle rap skills, including Dizaster, Hollow Da Don, Dumbfounded, and Loaded Lux. Brat Pack symbol Anthony Michael Hall, Disney Channel alum Calum Worthy, and hip-hop Charlamagne Tha God are set to star.

Bodied debuts September 7 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Look at the trailer — in which an entire moment is committed to a geek getting, very much, bodied — underneath.
