All dogs deserve to live in a comfortable, cozy home with owners who love them and make sure they lead a happy, healthy life. Unfortunately, for many dogs out there, that’s just a beautiful dream that will never come true. There are so many pups living on the streets right now after being abandoned. Most of them are in bad shape and even if they are lucky enough to get rescued and placed in an animal shelter, there’s no guarantee they will ever get adopted.
People prefer to buy a puppy from a pet store than adopt a pup that might be more advanced in life. However, the kind people working at the animal shelters do their best to increase the chances of adoption for their animals.
Social media has proven to be very useful when it comes to sharing the stories of animals that desperately need a home to help them find the right owners. One of the latest dogs to be adopted in large part thanks to Twitter is this adorable, black doggie.
Carpe Diem is a stray Chihuahua whose adoption photoshoot went hilariously wrong. All dogs that are taken at the San Francisco Animal Care & Control (SFACC) get their photos taken. The volunteers then upload the photos online in hopes that someone will see them and fall in love with the animals.
The Chihuahua’s photos, however, didn’t turn out as expected. They turned out even better! The pup has a silly personality and loves to goof around, and that really shows in his photos!
The good news is that the photos went viral on social media almost instantly, and Carpe Diem found a forever home as a result! It’s easy to see why someone would want to adopt this goofball just by looking at the pictures.
