Police officer Mike Cardin was on duty on night shift, when he saw something under the lamp post. As he approached it, he saw it was a cat. But after he saw that adorable fur ball all alone, his heart immediately broke.
He knew he couldn’t simply abandon her, so he jumped out of his car, and took her. He at that point chose to take her back to the station, where he made a little kitty bed out of an old card box.
The little cat was supposed then to be kept in the box and to hold up until the point when animal control arrived.
But after Mike’s colleague Wallace saw the sweet little gray kitten, he couldn’t help himself but to take her home.
“He didn’t want her to be alone all night, so he scooped her up and kept her with him throughout the shift,” said the Facebook post.
Officer Wallace kept on doing his work, all while keeping the little cat with him. And it was just a matter of time till they became inseparable.
The little cat, named Kelsey, took after Wallace all around. Even when he was dispatched, he stacked her up into his car.
The two are so in love with each other, and we are so glad that officer Mike found this precious kitten in the first place! No wonder Wallace couldn’t help but adopt her.
We are happy that little Kelsey is now safe and sound and has such a beautiful and loving home! It really is a miracle she was found!
